Learn to Play Adult / Youth
Our Learn to Play Classes are a great way for anyone who is interested in learning how to play the great sport of hockey! We offer eight week semesters in which our students will learn the basic fundamentals of the game. (skating, stopping, passing, shooting, etc) Our Learn to Play classes are a great activity for parents and children of all ages to try something new, it is great excercise, and it is a fantastic way to enjoy a new activity in our community!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-We provide the equipment for usage in our Learn to Play Courses (Including Skates) at no additional charge
-The classes are 8 sessions each, and then an evaluation will take place on the day of the last class, with a recommendation on next step for all players
-There are four levels that need to be passed prior to graduation to our league (PYHL) and our clinics/camps (PHDA)
LEARN TO SKATE (Basic skating skills, balance, standing and falling properly)
Hockey 1 (Advanced Basic skating skills, some stick and puck work, turning and edges, intro to stopping)
Hockey 2 (Backwards skating skills, completion of stopping, advanced stick handling and puck work)
Hockey 3 (All skating skills combined, shooting techniques, skating with a puck, rules of the game)

Dates and Times: Wednesday Nights- Youth-6:15pm - 7pm Adult-7:15pm - 8:15pm
Current Program - March 3rd- May5th
Next semester will start- May 12th- June 30th
