Adult Hockey
Below are the options for Adult Hockey in Pelham, please click on a link below the Adult Hockey tab for more information.
Adult Pickup- Must be 18 years or older, and a registered USA Hockey member. Adult Pickup is typically only available in the off season and the schedule for this can be found on www.pelhamciviccomplex.com. Each session is for an hour and a half and the cost is $15 per skater, limit 24 skaters. (Goalies are free, limit 2 goalies) Please call in advance to register 205-620-6448.
Adult Development League-Our Adult D League or development league is for adults who have picked up the sport of hockey at a later stage, or for players who took lengthy time off since they last played the game of hockey. The D League features competitive but fun games. It is a non contact hockey league and anyone over the age of 18 that wants to play should come out for this! If you have questions about our D-League, please email Matt Therrien at mtherrien@pelhamalabama.gov
SAHL or Sam Adam's Hockey League- our in house competitive hockey association for those people over the age of 18. It features three very competitve divisions:
Bronze Division- Our bronze division is for our players who have graduated out of our Development League, and are the "up and coming" prospects for our Silver Division. This Bronze Division is designed to allow room for the new comers in the Development League to get more ice touches, but it is also designed to seperate those that have excelled in the D-League and continue their growth as adult hockey players. We encourage two full seasons in the Development Leagure before moving on to the Bronze Division!
Silver Division- Playing experience as an adult or youth, knowledge of the rules and how to execute them, as well as the drive to play in a team environment. All of our Silver Division teams compete at a fairly high level each and every week.
Gold Division- Advanced playing experience through high school, junior hockey, college, or pro.
